    Mr. Reynolds incubates, advises on and raises capital for high-growth companies in several sectors, namely technology and special situations. Over the last decade, Mr. Reynolds has built and assisted high-growth companies with their capital markets strategies. He has assisted in all aspects of a company’s growth profile from seed capital through to merger-and-acquisition transactions, including comprehensive investor relations services, raising more than $300-million of equity for more than 30 different companies. Mr. Reynolds currently sits on the board of directors for several public and private companies. In 2012 he co-founded LX Ventures (TSXV: LXV), a company that was uniquely positioned to allow investors of all sizes to gain exposure to the high growth technology startup sector.

  • CYRUS DRIVERChief Financial Officer

    Mr. Driver brings extensive financial experience to the company as a chartered accountant. He was a founding partner in the firm of Driver Anderson since its inception in 1981, and he is currently a partner with Davidson and Company LLP after merging with that firm in 2002. While providing general public accounting services to a wide range of clients, Mr. Driver specializes in servicing TSX Venture Exchange-listed companies, including both preparing and auditing financial statements. Mr. Driver currently serves as a director and/or chief financial officer of several TSX-V companies, and he has an understanding of accounting principles, including the context of estimates, accruals and reserves, and has regularly reviewed internal controls and procedures for financial reporting.

    Responsible for Mezzi’s technology development and integration, Robbie Trudeau is well immersed in the latest technology advances and innovations. Mr. Trudeau is a hardware and software specialist with significant expertise in user interface design and web technologies. Over the past several years, Mr. Trudeau has been a widely sought after tech advisor and helped oversee application development for technology startups in Vancouver, Canada and the San Francisco Bay area. Mr. Trudeau is a location and proximity technology expert and is an advocate of wearable technology applications.

    Julia joins the MEZZI team after three years working with Emery Lifestyle Management, where she supported many businesss in the organization and optimization of their day-to-day business processes and administrative duties. Having lived the most of her life between Vancouver and Arizona, Julia is bolstered with a diverse and unique skill-set as a personable and professional individual with a strong sense of the nuances of the business world, both in Canada and the U.S.

    Ms. Dhillon has worked in the public sector since 2005 providing corporate secretary and office management services to numerous start-up and mid-tier TSX and TSX Venture Exchange listed companies.

  • DR. JOHN VELTHEERDirector

    Dr. Veltheer is a veteran business consultant and strategic investor who serves as an officer or director of a number of private and public companies including: Tinkerine Studios Ltd., a 3-D printer manufacturing company and Atlas Cloud Enterprises Inc., a co-location and cloud computing company. Dr. Veltheer obtained his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry (Honours) from Queen’s University in 1988 and his Ph.D. (Inorganic Chemistry) from the University of British Columbia in 1993.

  • ALAN REYNOLDSDirector

    Mr. Reynolds, MBA, CIA, CRMA, FICB, recently retired after an extensive 37-year career with CIBC, which saw him in senior roles, within both the internal audit department, as well as roles in large corporate and commercial lending, credit risk management, lending operations, and process management. During this time, he worked with many mid-market and large corporate fashion and consumer product brands covering retail, manufacturing and international distribution.

    For the last 10 years, as vice-president for the national office of CIBC’s internal audit department, Mr. Reynolds’s responsibilities included leadership of a team of internal audit professionals with accountability for the development and implementation of audit methodologies, audit quality assurance, use of specialized data analytics, and all training and development required for a department of 150 internal auditors. Accountabilities including ensuring that internal audit work met the extensive requirements and regulations of the various bank regulators, the international internal audit practice standards, and the external auditors’ reliance expectations. In addition, Mr. Reynolds had extensive involvement with various business committees, to assist business management with identification and resolution of potential governance, compliance, and business risks.

    Since 2010, Mr. Reynolds has also been a board member of the Canadian Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (AASB). AASB’s mission is to serve the public interest by setting high-quality standards and guidance that enable the public accounting profession to provide effective auditing, other assurance and related services.
